Somerset by Alice Temperley launches today

Calling all Alice Temperley fans! Roll on down to your nearest John Lewis immediately as a 60 piece collection from new label Somerset by Alice Temperley hits stores across the UK today. Named after Temperley’s beloved home county in the South West of England, the label’s first high street collaboration makes her deliciously romantic signature style accessible to us all, with her trademark lace detailing and silks a feature of much of the collection.

The pieces draw inspiration from a range of sources - Victoriana with the addition of a delicately ornate black lace collar to an ivory silk blouse, Bohemia and the 1970s with a large brimmed ‘Aroma’ hat and this season’s update on Military featuring cashmere, cape coats and double breasted jackets, with fit and flare.

From pony skin slippers to wide snakeskin effect belts, studded nappa leather handbags to animal print scarves, the accessories collection offers a range of beautiful pieces to update your autumn winter wardrobe without spending oodles of cash.

With a scarf for £29 and a day dress for £99, much of the collection won't break the bank so for those of us who adore her designs, this collection is a must-buy.

Alice Temperley, MBE commented “Somerset’s exclusive collection for John Lewis will take our aesthetic to a wider audience. I wanted it to be very much a collection of essentials and to design pieces that provide a functional wardrobe for women in their everyday life. John Lewis is a great partner as it is synonymous with quality and integrity and is part of British life.”

The collection will be available in all 29 John Lewis department stores. See www.johnlewis.com/somerset for more details. Tell us what you think of the new collection by leaving a comment below...
