TOMS / Dazed & Confused film project competition

Groundbreaking footwear label TOMS has partnered up with Dazed & Confused on a new creative film project called Generation Change, asking UK-based filmmakers to submit a treatment for a short three minute film exploring 'British Change Makers'.

To be judged by TOMS, Dazed and British director Lucy Walker (Waste Land, The Tsunami and The Cherry Blossom), the winner will receive a massive £5,000 to make their film for TOMS and be featured on Dazed Digital. If you are inspired to make a statement, than you can find more details on how to apply here and the closing deadline is 28 August.

TOMS is a hugely successful company founded in 2006 by American traveller Blake Mycoskie who, having befriended children in Argentina, found they had no shoes with which to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS, which matches every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need - a programme which is the absolute living and breathing proof that all you need is a simple idea to make a huge difference.

The company has since given over 1,000,000 shoes to children in need, and has recently launched a new One for One eyewear initiative.
