London loves: CRED Illuminate Collection

If you're a fellow magpie with an eager eye for seriously snazzy jewellery, you'll love the beautiful new collection from CRED. Called Illuminate, it features some absolutely gorgeous classic & elegant fine jewellery pieces in white gold, diamonds & pearls. With a distinctively English air, the collection combines elegance from 1950’s fashion with the scrolling ironwork of the lamps along the Southbank of the Thames.

Designed by Annabel Panes, the 9 piece collection comes in 3 distinct sets:
  • Somerset House Pearls: Filigree settings of the pendant and earrings inspired by the decorative ironwork work beautifully with the lustrous freshwater pearls. With a filigree style ring.
  • Southbank: Reminiscent of the Southbank lamps, simple striking globe-like forms of the pendant and drop earrings each hold a 9mm freshwater pearl.
  • Somerset House diamonds: Brilliant-cut diamonds add points of sparkle to the delicate scrolling of the settings. The diamond set includes a necklace, studs earrings, bracelet and ring.

Not only do CRED make some pretty hot stuff but they're one of the pioneers in fairtrade jewellery, leading the way in creating a transparent ethical supply chain. The brand was one of the first to be granted use of certified Fairtrade and Fairmined gold, an independent ethical certification guarantee that the gold has been responsibly mined and that miners are working in good conditions. A10% premium paid for the gold ensures a good price to the workers with additional funds to invest in their community.
