Bottletop goes (RED)

Bottletop, the luxury accessories brand, is taking part in (RED)’s 2012 charity campaign - ‘(RED) RUSH TO ZERO’. The (RED) Summer campaign includes a series of global events, limited edition products, and promotions to raise funds and awareness for the global goal of an AIDS free generation by 2015. 

As a contribute to the campaign, Bottletop’s Directors Oliver Wayman & Cameron Saul have co-designed three (RED) limited edition accessories; the Kristina fringed bag, Luciana bag, and the Kibe unisex belt.

Handy for summertime festival dressing (not least because it is waterproof) the silver chainmail Kristina bag (above) features additional soft red Bahian leather tassles and a chunky chain strap. The classic Luciana Bottletop clutch bag has been given a sartorial twist with a red leather wriststrap, as has the Kibe belt, which features a red keeper on the front.

Bottletop will donate 10% from every purchase of (RED) products to the global fund. This is on top of the money raised already through the sale of every Bottletop product, which is donated to the Bottletop Foundation. These funds are used to empower young people to make healthy choices and protect themselves from HIV/ AIDS. To date, (RED) has generated over $190 million for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, to support HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia. 100% of that money goes to work on the ground – no overhead is taken.
