One to watch: Q&A with Olwen Bourke

Fledgling ethical clothing label Olwen Bourke launched in February this year, aiming to create bespoke, luxury clothing by recycling materials and incorporating pre-used textiles that have a story. The beautiful, first collection Paradise Lost is inspired by jungles and Japanese silkscreen prints, and uses predominately hand-dyed silk, (end of roll) cotton and wool, recycled leather and suede.

Food with heart; Kitchen Joël Antunes at the Embassy

If it’s been a while since you’ve ventured to the Embassy in Old Burlington Street, then you need to get on down there as you’re behind the times. Kitchen Joël Antunes has injected a new lease of life into the place, which is now once again heaving with notable names. Vivienne Westwood held her London Fashion Week dinner there back in February, and it even played host to Harvey Weinstein’s post-BAFTA bash.

Beulah London Butterfly Effect flies into Harvey Nichols

Beulah London is certainly making waves. Just landed at a Harvey Nichols near you, this luxury label is gaining fans faster than you can shake a polo stick. Some people have taken notice because it counts the Duchess of Cambridge among its growing list of patrons, and others because of an increasing presence on the UKs red carpets. But here at Bon Ton Times we love Beulah London because the label is changing perceptions of ethical fashion the world over.

While the designs deliver on style and quality, turning fashionable heads across the globe, the brand continues in its commitment to raise awareness of the plight of the many women affected by trafficking, helping them to build a future by furnishing them with skills, jobs and support.

The AW12 collection is real step forward in the style-stakes, building on the Beulah-look but pushing the envelope that little bit more.  Taking inspiration from the notion that a small change in one place can make a bigger impact elsewhere, the "Butterfly Effect" collection is packed with modern classics.  Favourites include:
